Oh heyyyy,

If any of you know me you'll know that I haven't worn a pair of jeans since I was about 9 - we could call it a phobia of denim legwear! The day has finally arrived and I decided to buy the high waisted black Joni jeans on uniform at Topshop! I'm still not 100% convinced and i'm not sure they are particularly flattering but my bare legs were getting pretty freezing in this recent cold weather :(

On another note, I love this floral quilted jacket from Sheinside , i've been picking up lots of new statement jackets recently and they also might persuade me to wear my black jeans a bit more... EEK.

ps. I really need to sort my camera out, meh...

Jeans - Topshop uniform £14.40 // Shoes - Vagabond via Office // Black top - eBay £4 // Floral jacket - c/o Sheinside  //  Eagle necklace - eBay £2.99

I can't cope with how cold it is today, don't be fooled by this outfit as I definitely put tights and a woolly jumper on before I left the house. I've seen loads of bloggers looking amazing in this strappy Sheinside dress so thought I would try it out too! It's a bit short on me so I put shorts on underneath but as a top it's super cute.

I've also collaborated with Angel Eye Fashion this week. They sell some amazing tailored coats like this one they kindly sent me. I have another one just for you guys as part of my twitter giveaway, more of that below! :) Apologies for the not so clear photos - the weather was so dodgy and I didn't have time to find the right setting on my camera as I was in a rush for work!

Dress - c/o Sheinside // Coat - c/o Angel Eye // Boots - Vagabond £80

I'm currently holding a giveaway on my Twitter here: velvet_daisy, just RT this tweet  and follow me and Angel Eye for your chance to win the tailored coat i'm wearing. The winner will be chosen on the last day of the month (30th November) GOOD LUCK!!

You all know how much I love two pieces so when I saw this celestial printed number from Motel I definitely had to buy it. After waiting ages for it to come back in stock it arrived and unfortunately had a hole in the side, so gutting as I wanted to wear it to Fabric last weekend - oh well! I'm going to get a replacement asap as I don't want to miss out on this heavenly number. For the purpose of these photos I've borrowed my friends exact same match - YAY

I wish my whole wardrobe was just formulated of hundreds of two pieces and I had a different one for every day. That would be great - I would never have any morning last minute outfit panics!

Stars and moon two piece - Motel £60 for the set-ish// Boots - Vagabond via Office // Tattoo necklace - eBay £2.99 // Coat - A friends // Earrings - Primark £2

Have you worn any cute two pieces recently? What do you think of Motel?

As cosmetic procedures are becoming more popular and readily available to the masses I have recently reviewed Sk:n. They are a clinic specializing in laser removal treatment with over 20 years professional experience and focus on cosmetic and bodily procedures. Sk:n use the latest clinically proven products and technologies in all of their 40  clinics nationwide so there's bound to be one near you! They provide a huge range of different treatments at very competitive prices including laser hair removal treatment, teeth whitening, botox and skin peels.

I have often considered basic cosmetic procedures for slight improvements but haven't done because of the risks associated with such. You can be sure you will receive a professional service Sk:n as they only employ the best trusted specialists and also governed by the Care Quality Commission and the Independent Health Advisory Service ‘Treatment You Can Trust’ register. Additionally they regularly work with the British Skin Foundation.

After researching Sk:n, if I were to ever consider cosmetic treatments in the future then there is no doubt about it, I would book in with my local Sk:n clinic
You can visit Sk:n's blog here or alternatively visit their website here. The laser hair removal clinic are currently holding a promotion and are offering up to 30% off.

It's freezing, but yeah I know i'm still not wearing tights, I just hate them and now I guess my legs are used to it! Happy to have got the opportunity to work with Pussycat London this week, I chose this kimono to be sent and it hasn't disappointed. I love the movement the tassles create and I gladly tried to show this to my friend Adam aka my photographer for the day (lol) by slut dropping for him whilst he was snapping away pa ha ha.

I don't know about you but i'm getting rather bored the traditional hand on hip poses so what better way to jazz things up but a slut drop? In other news i'm going to Fabric on Friday to see Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and i'm toooo excited. Are any of you going?

Just as the uproar over Ben Affleck nabbing the role of Batman was starting to die down, the lineup for one of the most hotly-anticipated movies of next year caused a new wave of controversy. Fans and critics alike were shocked to hear that relative unknowns Dakota Johnson and Charlie Hunnam saw off fierce competition to bag the leads in the film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey. Producer Dana Brunetti turned to Twitter in attempt to silence the storm of internet outrage, but the praise and protests continue to make the news.

Luckily movie makers are no strangers to controversy, and are frequently accused of miscasting fictional characters fans have come to love.
Bridget Jones’s Diary is a perfect example. Independent and witty yet unlucky in love, Jones was the flawed heroine British women could identify with. She made it OK to sing along to soppy love songs, enjoy a cheeky glass of wine and don huge figure-flattering pants, like the contour-defining shapewear at Isme.com Given our affection for the character, it was perhaps predictable that critics and Bridget-lovers fumed when size four Texan RenĂ©e Zellweger was cast. However, Zellweger’s portrayal turned out to be funny, likeable and every inch Bridget Jones, even bagging the actress an Oscar nomination.
Just as Zellweger came to embody Bridget, it might seem surprising to remember that Heath Ledger was once thought to be lacking the substance necessary to play Batman’s arch-nemesis The Joker in The Dark Knight. Despite these criticisms, his definitive portrayal led to a posthumous Oscar. However, the franchise caused a stir again when former Disney star Anne Hathaway was cast as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises. The actress threw off her good girl image with an acrobatic performance that firmly silenced critics.
Fans of fictional characters often have vivid ideas about they look and act, making criticism and disappointment over film versions inevitable. Johnson and Hunnam may have to work hard to win critics over, while Affleck faces the daunting task of proving himself worthy of the Batman cowl after the success of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. However, it's worth remembering that while these choices may be controversial now, we could be looking at future Oscar winners.

So this is another look from my weekend away with the bestie Lexie. Autumn is definitely in full swing and it's getting pretty freezing. I need to invest in a fur gilet for the cold months as they look so cute layered up especially with different textures underneath.

I borrowed this one from Lexie but i'm going to look for one that's slightly longer I think. I'm obsessed with layering different lengths at the moment, I love the contrast of midi dusters like this one from Ette Clothing, a mini like this velvet dress from Fashion Union and the shorter gilet. I hate wearing tights and put it off for as long as possible so the midi length dusters are a great alternative to keeping my legs a little bit more covered in the colder months.

Gilet - Dorothy Perkins via Lexie // Velvet dress - c/o Fashion Union // Midi duster - Ette £18ish // Bag - Primark via Lexie // Beetle Necklace - H&M via Lexie // Boots - Vagabond via Office £80

What do you think of this outfit? Have you mastered layering for winter yet?

ps. I've changed my header, what do you think? It was definitely about time that awful galaxy print thing got scrapped!
