CROCHET LAYERS

Hey,

First up, I seem to be doing a lot of cringey selfy photos at the moment so I do apologise for that! Bit of a lazy outfit here but I was visiting my bestie Lexie in Oxford this weekend so we took advantage of each other as photographers and took a few outfit posts. I still haven't mastered the self timer yet...

I've been wearing my hair up like this for ages now as it's great for 2 day old hair but if one more person tells me they love my 'Miley Cyrus' look! So I thought I would embrace my inner Miley with the poses... On another note i've purchased three new pairs of cute shoes recently and these were the second pair. Shocked at the fact they are New Look as I know RI did exactly the same pair for double the price.

Crochet top - Car boot 50p // Pink dress - Mink Pink via UO £35 // Chunky sandals - New Look £30 // Lipstick - Sleek Mystic // Earrings - Primark £2 // Necklace - Tentative Decisions.

Peace out kitties!!

BINGO*

Hey,

Last weekend when it was pouring rain I was kind of bored so I went online looking to play some online games. I’m not a gambler at all but I came across Butlers Bingo which is an online bingo site. I always thought online bingo looked pretty fun! Butler’s Bingo kindly give you £10 free no deposit bingo game credits to play with if you are a new user. I used £10 on the games including themed scratch cards, dice games, and roulette kind games. I’m definitely not a massive gambler so only bet £1-£2 at a time as I wanted to play as many different variations as possible.

Unfortunately I didn’t win anything on the scratch cards (WAH) or the ‘Bunny Boiler’. I then played a higher or lower game of which you guess the next card and won my first win: an impressive £5 haha. Woop Woop. This did however allow me to continue on and play ‘Granny Prix’ – (I lost!) and ‘Freezing Fuzzballs’ – (I lost!).

At this point I had about £5 credit left from my original £10  no deposit bonus and played ‘Germinator’. This was definitely my favourite game on the bingo site, partly because I basically won every spin, I slowly crept my stake up and was basically rolling in dollar bills (I won £7, lol) You do actually get a bit of a buzz though, so I continued playing and proceeded to lose it all haha. It was fun whilst it lasted...

I thoroughly enjoyed my half an hour’s online bingo gaming experience and I can appreciate the buzz it provides, but I won’t be a regular online bingo player! I’m not really the online gambler type but it was definitely quite a fun experience and I can see why it attracts so many people!

I'LL BRING YOU (SUN)FLOWERS IN THE POURING RAIN

Hey yoo,

I've been meaning to photograph this handmade two piece from Ette Clothing all summer and never actually got round to it. Now it's freezing cold and rainy so I threw on my new favourite cardigan from Mink Pink which I managed to bag from eBay for £5.50 - literally squealed a little when I won this. I love two pieces so much, the whole matchy matchy look is great in my opinion. I do remind myself of baby spice/Gwen Stefani though, especially with the hair ha.

I've worn my JC Coltranes to absolute death and was looking for a new chunky boot for ages. Finally I settled on these Vagabonds, cute right?

Two Piece - Ette Clothing  around £20 // Shoes - Vagabond via Office £81 with student discount // Cardigan - Mink Pink via eBay £5.50 // Earrings - Primark £2 // Lipstick - MAC Morange // Casio Watch - c/o The Watch Hut

I'm a massive fan of Casio, and own loads of their cute plastic coloured ones so it's great to now own one of their silver toned styles.

What do you think of this outfit, do you love two pieces?

NAZZ COLLECTION

Hey,

I feel as much of a Disney Princess as i'm ever going to be in this dress. I was asked to review a dress from the beautiful collection at Nazz Collection. Not usually a fan of anything encrusted with bling, I really surprised myself with this number. I absolutely love anything backless so that's the main reason I chose this and as soon as I put it on I knew I had made the right decision as it fits to perfection. I normally find that because i'm so tall (5'9), as soon as I put on a big pair of heels dresses are far too sort for me, but this is just the right length. Nazz Collection are great for event/prom dresses and I was shocked at how reasonable they are.

I teamed my dress with my snakeskin Lulu Guinness clutch, back from when I was interning there. I was lucky enough to pick it up in their sample sale for something like £20! I believe this particular style never went into production so is a one off - I LOVE it.

Now I just to be taken to a posh event so I can actually wear this ensemble...

What do you think of this dress? Are you as much of a fan of backless pieces as me?

LONDON RETRO

Hey,

How do you like my new glasses? I'm a massive glasses fan, but can never find any to suit my moon face! I chose to review these tortoiseshell 'Bakerloo' vintage inspired specs from My Optique and am really happy with the result. All glasses in this range 'London Retro' retail at £79 which I think is extremely reasonable if you compare prices to your standard granny frame one would find in ya local Specsavers! Think quirky cat eyes and bright colours for the frames in this range. I'm really impressed by the quality, shape and comfort and think a great pair of glasses can really add to an outfit whether you technically need them or not!!

Do you have a favourite pair of glasses? What do you think of this London Retro range?

Sorry about the dorky faces, it's not often I take close up face snaps - I would make an awful beauty blogger haha.

GET DRESSED UP FOR AUTUMN

Hey,

I was recently contacted by a PR agency asking if I would like to show you a video from BHS's new 'Get dress up for Autumn' campaign. As probably most of you too, I associate BHS with grannies and Sloggi underwear. The only time I would ever even enter the store was to look at the concession brands, and hardly then would I ever even buy something. But, after watching the video, it's actually a bit saucy...

Directed by Jonas Akerlund: it features Zunana Gregorova performing a reverse strip tease. Yep, BHS, I know!

I find as i'm getting a bit older I am looking for better quality staple pieces to buy, and for no extra cost than other retailers on the high street, BHS provides this for you in their new Autumn/Winter range. They have definitely tried to tap into the younger generations with their relaunch, and I think this has been somewhat successful. Underwear, thick and chunky knitwear, and winter coats are three areas I think they have particularly excelled in with their new collection. The coat featured in the video is only £65, so compared to Zara for example, is probably nearly half the price of something similar.

Will you be checking BHS for future staple pieces?

AUTUMN LACE

Hey,

I'm trying to be a bit of a better blogger and post more frequently but most of the people who take my photos aren't around at the moment so i'm having to do with garden shots - I much prefer photos out and about, they look a lot prettier and the quality looks a lot nicer!

I got sent this lace dress from Karma Clothing which I love. It's really versatile and can be dressed up or down. I chose to dress down with Coltranes, scarf and a leather jacket for the day time!

Lace dress - c/o Karma // Coltranes - Jeffrey Campbell // Socks - Topshop //Scarf - Market (lols) // Leather Jacket - c/o Warehouse

Do you own much lace? Do you dress it up or down?

On another note i'm looking for my next pair of chunky boots to replace the Coltranes. I'm well and truely sick of them now, do any of you have any suggestions? I LOVE the aggy dr martens but they're pretty much sold out everywhere gah!
