ACCESSORIZE SS/14

Helloo,

It's that freezing time of the year again where all the spring summer 14 press days are arising making everyone super depressed about the fact it's still only January. I went to a great one with Missguided this week which I will be doing a post on very shortly.

The below video shows some of the super talented girls at Accessorize speaking about their up and coming spring summer collection. To be honest, Accessorize for me is definitely one of those brands that you love when you're really young, i'm thinking crazy animal stationary, glittery bobbly hats and cool keyrings haha but then don't start to appreciate until you're a little older again. I'm 100% back in there with Accessorize now as i'm loving the bohemian vibe they have to offer more and more each season making it such a great brand for me right now. Anything with an elephant motif, jingle jangle sequins and a tassle i'm all over like a rash.

As Accessorize hits the big 30 the new collection sees a great range of quirky and energetic styles. Think huge statement perspex necklaces, floral hats and oversized sunglasses. From everything in the new collection i'm a particular fan of the heavily embellished bags and anything with a lot of embroidery (and preferably another elephant)

When summer (hopefully) hits us this year Accessorize is going to be my first point of call to grab all the cute essentials as i've definitely got my eye on a few of their trends this season.

WITCHING HOUR

Helloo,

Another black outfit, my wardrobe is slowing churning out any sign of colour for my gradual transformation into a witch... I like it though. I love anything that's midi length or flows at the moment so this black lace trim kimono is perfect. Another item that Missguided sent me to review, i'm getting so spoilt at the moment I can hardly keep up as I generally only get weekends to blog as by the time i'm home from work in the week it's too dark so apologies on the inconsistency.

I found this quite hard to style up so kept it safe with a black dress, heels and some red liptick and a chunky necklace to try and break it up a bit! I can't wait for summer so I can layer over cute bikinis and wedges on holiday.

Kimono - c/o Missguided // Black dress - Topshop £38ish // Boots - Topshop £60 // Necklace - Topshop £2 sale

How would you style up this Kimono? I would love to hear your ideas as I found it quite difficult.

KITTY CAT KEMP

MEOW!!

Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with cats, to the point where my besties *aka Lexie* call me Kitty Cat Kemp so this sweater is just perfect in my opinion pa ha ha. Persun Mall contacted me to see if I wanted to choose a couple of things and this kitty top was one of the items I received. I was slightly dubious about it to begin with as items I have received from similar sites abroad have always come up teeny tiny but this actually fits quite well and the material is pretty good quality. How cute is the fringing too - icing on the cake I think! :D

I was going to style up with a metallic Topshop skater skirt but i'm trying hard not to overwear skater items as they're just too lazy. What better alternative than these amazing lace bell bottoms I rediscovered in my wardrobe that Ette sent me a while back, completely forgot I had them. Oh so you know I was trying harder to wear more black, well yeah now I can't seem to inject any colour back in. It's all or nothing with me I think!!

What do you guys think of this outfit? It's the first time in a while I got dressed, looked in the mirror and though 'too crazy?' Never too crazy right?!

FLORAL BELL SLEEVES

Hey!

Yet again it's like minus a million degrees and i'm dressed like it's the height of summer but I really can't stand tatty old bobbly tights in photos so yeah...

As mentioned before i'm trying to inject more black into my wardrobe and dare I say it, dress a little more 'conservative'. I hate that word but i'm not 15 anymore and can't always get away with crazy Lazy Oaf burger dresses and psychedelic bombers? Or can I? I think it might be time to grow up and reflect this in my clothing! Not that a cut out mini dress in the winter is being particularly sensible?! ha. I seem to be unable to distinguish seasons.

I picked this am-azing 70's style dress from Missguided purely because of the bell sleeves, it has such a vintage vibe but the cut out detailing makes it more contemporary - I like the mix! I teamed it quite simply with a fluffy black cardie from Sheinside to give it some more texture and warmth. And of course the most comfortable shoes in the world - my Vagabonds. Standard.

Cardie - c/o Sheinside // Dress - c/o- Missguided // Shoes - £70ish Vagabonds via Office // Spotty socks - £3 Topshop

Have you worn anything cut out recently? Probably not seeing as it's winter!! What do you think of this dress?

BLACK TEXTURE

Helloooo,

Hope everyone had an amazing NY! I lost my bag in a rave for the whole night but then luckily someone found it and gave it back to me with my iPhone, money and passport still in - YAY to nice people!! :D

I took the photos for this outfit about a week ago but never got round to posting as i'm currently in Leeds for the week - this is the furthest North i've ever been hahaa. Anyway i'm obsessed with anything textured at the moment so have been buying all sorts of big fluffy jackets. I got this black one from Topshop for £65 but it has the biggest hole in it all the way down my arm which is so disappointing as I really love it - I think I might just sew it up... Topshop prices do annoy me when their clothing is such bad quality. I blame Phil Green! :\

Jacket - Topshop £65 // Crop jumper - Topshop £36 // Necklace - Topshop £3.50 // Jeans - Topshop - £38ish // Boots - Vagabond via Office - £70ish

Ok so my whole outfit is from Topshop... oopsy. I'm trying to inject more black into my wardrobe. I have far too many bright floral jackets and bombers. For most people it's the other way around but I just have no black clothes so i'm on a giant black spree at the moment.

What do you think of this outfit? Too black?
